Statistical modelling By sorting the spreadsheet first in descending order of EXPTOT and selecting the top 40 cows, and then by opening CS2Data2 again and sorting in descending order of EXP210 and selecting again the top 40 cows, we can produce the additional data files CS2Data3 and CS2Data4. By further cutting and pasting we can produce the table which shows the relative ranking positions of the top 30 cow using the two methods for defining milk offtake. We can see that most 'elite' cows are included in both columns, at least down to position 30. Just one cow (no. 57) ranked 20 for milk offtake to 210 days did not appear among the top 40 cows ranked for total offtake (see CS2Data4). |
